More summer highlights of 2013!

Kenzie turns 16!  (I know she is almost 17, but I just gotta get this documented!)  :)

She went on her first date with Zach and they doubled with Jared and Becca (who is missing from the picture because she had not been picked up, yet).

After a fun date of bowling and dinner, they came home for cake, ice cream, and presents!

She wanted chocolate cake with chocolate icing - very easy to please!  Kavan, however, couldn't decide where to put the candles! :)

The day after her birthday (because in Georgia it has to be 1 year and 1 day from permit to license) she became a licensed driver!  Official...but let's just say she did not get 100% on her driving test!  :)

That night she had a fun little celebration with some friends and family...

Side note:
Kirk and Jana built this deck just for Kenzie's party... ok, not really but it was a good motivating factor to get it done!  :)

- cousin's camp project -

Friends...

Fun...

More friends...

 Games...

I love Collin's face in this picture!

ice cream...

presents...

These cool shoes were a present from Zach.  He knows how much she loves dolphins, so he asked a friend from school to "snazzy up" a pair of Vans.
They're really cool!

and after dark...
Uncle Kirk played the movie, Here Comes the Boom, on the side of the house.  It was fun!

The next day we were off to the lake to celebrate with family...

Oh my goodness, these next pictures are so cute I couldn't post just one....

See what I mean!
Blue icing cupcakes (at the lake) are the best!!!  :)

After Kenzie got her license, she was able to take the wave runner on her own...but Zach was brave enough to go with her.  (Kenzie - big smile...evil laugh)

Kavan loves playing with Annabelle.

I LOVE lake days!!!

And I love this McKenzie, lots!
Super cute gift!  That clever grandma!  :)

Final Cruise Pictures...I think! :)

Here are just some fun favorites of random cruise activity.

Karlee said the only thing she wanted to do was have her hair braided.  So, Monday morning she was ready and waiting!

Kavan had so much fun with all of the activities on the ship.  He especially liked his club and being a detective.

And it was always fun to come across a character, prince, or princess!

A little miniature golf!

Kyler really enjoyed the room service in the evening because of the towel animals (I liked the little chocolate).

So, why not go to a towel animal folding class.

Kyler and Layne caught on quickly, Kenzie and I not so much, and my mom is a perfectionist.  So, she had to do her first one twice, but not because she didn't catch on quickly!  :)

While struggling, I decided that if you just add sunglasses and hold it for the picture all is well!

See!  :)

cute!

OVERACHIEVERS!

I love Layne's face...I think he's smirking at kenzie!

She's so funny!
Layne and I celebrated our 20 year wedding anniversary!  :)

The Aquaduck!  A fun pastime!

My mom and kenzie!
Often times we would pass each other on the ship going to various activities and shows.  Karlee and Ellie had two different clubs they could go to on their own, but they usually chose the same one Kavan went too because they said it was more fun than the "tween" club!

There were a lot of really amazing and fun shows.  This was one of our favorites.  It was a magic show and it was super cool!

As you can see characters were pretty easy to come by!  Always great photo opportunities!  :)

The girls went to Pluto's Pajama Party at their club!  Always something fun happening!

The two older kids waiting to go to their club for a different magic show!  It didn't start until like 10:30pm and you can see I am barely hanging on - I am getting too old to stay up late!  :)

Kavan slept on the lower bunk because he was nervous to be on the top bunk asleep.  The last night, he was like "I'm going to do it!"  And he did!  He zonked hard that last night!

The last morning while Kyler was waiting for the rest of us to get packed up, he made Jong (our main man who took care of our rooms) all of the towel animals with chocolates.  Jong was amazing and very kind.

Rakesh and Kelly one more time!  They too were amazing and kind!

We had so much fun on this cruise and now have so many fun memories!  We couldn't have asked for better people to take care of us, better excursions to experience, better activities and shows to enjoy, or for better food to eat, and we couldn't have asked for better weather!  It was beautiful!  (And then the clouds appeared the day we were done...because it was sad to leave!)  :)

But home is always a good place to be!  :)
