Thanksgiving 2013

With the cold weather and the fast approach to this year's Thanksgiving, I was reminiscing... OK so actually I was feeling a bit guilty about how far behind I am with my blogging and thought I would attempt to come one step closer to updating!  Plus, guess what we recently talked about in seminary...the importance of record keeping and journaling.  So, I'll use my guilt for motivation and take you back to Thanksgiving 2013...

The Mitchell Family headed to Destin, Florida to spend a fun filled week in the sand, in the water, in the sun...in the freezing cold!  It was so cold, yet we (I use the "we" loosely as I often did not include myself in the "brave" category!) still braved the sand and water!

Football on the beach is the best!

I love this picture of Kavan and Kirk so much!  :)

We always find time for napping and technology!

Oh, and for food!  We always eat so good during Thanksgiving week! :)

The smiles and "goofiness" that come from playing with cousins is awesome!

More bravery!

Kyler trying to decide if he really wants to go in the water!

And he did!  A couple of times!  He was frozen!  :)

The Air Museum is always amazing!

This picture was taken after the flight simulator.  Kavan and Collin went first, then Karlee and Kyler!  We couldn't see them, but we could hear them!  It was so funny, great entertainment!

Now this picture is deceiving because it looks like a beautiful, sunshiny, warm day...not so!  I am telling you, bravery!

In all honesty, it could just be craziness...

but we do have some superheroes among us!  :)

Halloween 2013

It's always fun to get together with friends and family for Halloween!

A "beggar" (Cade) and "Twisted Fate" (Kavan) duel it out!

"Pinkalicious" (Kenzie) -She doesn't trick-or-treat, but she likes to come with us! :)

And seriously - could there be a cuter "Dorothy" (Sophia)?

The editing will not fix the red eyes, so they are very much in "Halloween form" - even the good ones!  :)

The whole, crazy, silly, gang!

This is always Karlee after walking the neighborhood!  She cracks me up!
  Trick-or-Treating is exhausting! :)

Kavan's "First" Date!

October 2013

Sister Dent came and picked Kavan up for a ride in her cool car, and took him to Steak-N-Shake for a shake and burger!  This lady is awesome and holds a very special place in my heart (and Kavan's)!  She is the epitome of southern charm!  She works hard, she plays hard, she is incredibly talented, she has an amazing heart... and she's beautiful!  She has taught my kids the gospel and has been an incredible example!  She has moved and we miss seeing her every week, but never a day goes by that we don't think of her... and thank her for all she's done for our family!  We love her!  :)

A Family Birthday Celebration!

It was so fun to have family and friends for celebrating!

Karlee and Kavan are so animated and full of life (ok, so maybe dramatic is a good word) that you see it all over their faces!

Grandma Mitchell has a really neat tradition of making the grandkids an afghan for their 12th birthday!

Karlee loves it - and it's her favorite color! :)

I love Ryan's expressions!  He fits right in!
He makes me laugh!

"Half Occupational Therapist, Half Ninja!"  So Fun!  :)
